I’m truly delighted to be able to announce that VOLCANO DREAMS has been shortlisted for the Reading The West Award of the Mountains and Plains Independent Booksellers Association. The books on this list in all categories are stellar, so it’s particularly gratifying to find my debut picture book in such company. Voting is open to the public.

I have a number of upcoming events, so I thought I’d post them here:

March 22-23: Denver Children’s Festival of Stories, multiple presentations for this day-long event. A large number of authors will be there visiting with children, so come see us!

March 25: Preston Middle School, Fort Collins CO, school visit

April 5: Children’s Literature Festival, Truman State University, Kirksville MO, all day panels for children in grades 4-6.

April 20: Center For The Arts, Jackson Hole WY, morning workshop for writers on deep revision sponsored by Jackson Hole Writers. Limited number of spaces left!

I look forward to all of these events, and to seeing more kiddos, parents, writers, teachers, and librarians at each.
